nonchalante asked: Asalaamu alykum wa rahmatu'Allahe wa barakat. I'm not sure if you notice that the Ali radiAllaahu anhu quote had (a.s) afterwards and is most likely from a shia site.

Waalaikumsalam wa rahmatu’Allahe wa barakat,

Thanks! I didn’t notice it until you mentioned it so I’ve changed it to r.a. But whether or not the person who posted it is Shia or not, no one would be able to tell unless they ask. He/She might have made a typo so I don’t believe we should jump to conclusions. I understand your concern on gathering information that conflicts with Sunni teachings, but I just want to add that I believe it’s okay to take wisdom from Shia, Sufi, Christian, Buddhist, etc sources as long as it does not conflict with Islamic wisdom and promotes peace.

Take note followers, in regards to quote, it’s Ali radiAllahu (for important Islamic personages), not alayhiasalaam (which is for prophets other than Muhammad s.a.w.). :]
